Lavender Vinegar
1. Simple and easy, all you need is lavender buds and vinegar. Gather lavender, place into a jar, then cover with vinegar.
2. Immediately cap to keep the vapors in. Store in a dark cabinet for a few weeks, shaking periodically.
3. You will need a wide mouth jar with a tight fitting lid (not metal because of the acidic vinegar). If you don’t have a non-metallic top, then use a layer of plastic wrap or wax paper between the lid and the vinegar to prevent rusting and a yucky metallic taste.
4. Uses for Lavender Vinegar include: fabric softener, flea spray, hair rinse, glass and surface cleaner and bath addition.
Lavender bath Salts
1. Materials: Epsom salts, 100% pure lavender essential oil (not fragrance), dried lavender, sea salt, any kind of jar
2. Combine the Epsom salts and rock sea salt in the jar.
3. Next, we can add the lavender oil, then, toss very well to combine.
4. Add 1 tablespoon of your dried lavender flowers and add more Epsom salts to fill the jar
5. These bath salts will stay fresh and usable for around 6 to 9 months, or until the color of the flowers fade.
Lavender Soap
1. Material 100g melt-and-pour soap base, 1/4 cup dried lavender buds, 2 ml of lavender essential oil. You can add som rosemary essential oil and leaves
2. Melt the soap on medium high heat. Or Microwave on high for 30 seconds - 1 minute
3. Remove from heat, add oil and flowers
4. Stir and pour and fill melted soap base onto the soap mold
5. Let soap dry for about 1 hour
Lavender Lemonade
1. Ingredient: lemon juice:, lavender buds, water, honey (opntional), and ice
2. Combine the lavender buds and about 1/2 cup sugar
3. Pour 2 cups of boiling water over the mixture, stir, and let sit for 30 minutes
4. Make lemon juice
5. Strain the lavender mixture and then combine with the lemon juice, add more water and sugar if you like
6. Add ice, some lemon slices. and enjoy!
Lavender Ice-cream
1. Ingredients: 1-1/2 cups heavy cream, 1-1/2 cups milk, 1/2 cup honey, 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender, 2 tsp vanilla extract and 1/3 cup blackberries or 1/3 blueberries, mashed
2. Add the heavy cream, milk, honey, and lavender to a medium saucepan set over medium heat. Turn off the heat when the mixture is steaming. Discard the lavender.
3. Allow it to rest at room temperature for 15 minutes. or refrigerate until cool
4. Mass blackberries or blueberries. Stir the blackberries into the mixture
5. Cover with a sheet of plastic wrap. Freeze until firm - about 4 -6 hours
