Benefits & Uses of Baking Soda

1. Air Freshener

You will need:

1. A container or a jar

2. 1/2 cup Baking soda

3. A few drops essential oil of your choice (lavender, orange, rose, etc)

4. Some flower buds

 

Then pour baking soda into the  jar, and add in some flower buds and 8-10 drops of essential oil. 

Cover the jar with fabric and tie with pretty ribbon.

2. Add to laundry. There are 2 ways you can try

1. If you want to use baking soda as a deodorizer, it's a good idea to soak it in a baking soda solution overnight. 

2. A half-cup of baking soda added to a load of laundry will create a cleaning boost.  

3. Rug Cleaner

1. Sprinkle baking soda generously over the entire rug.

Use a dry brush to work the baking soda into the rug.

Scrub it into the carpet, then, leave it for up to 24 hours, or overnight.

Afterwards, vacuum it up and enjoy an odor-free room!

4.  Multi-purpose Cleaner

To make your own all-purpose cleaner at home, dissolve 4 tablespoons of baking soda in 1/4 cup of warm water for a general cleaner.
