How to Remove Wine Stains From Rug

Blot
Use a clean white cloth to blot as much as you can.

Pour Cool Water
Pour cool water onto the red wine stain and continue blotting.
Don’t use hot water for red wine stain removal because heat sets the stain.

Option 1: Use Baking Soda
Srinkling a little bit of baking soda on top of the stain, let it air dry and then blot again.
Or you can mix a paste with a 3:1 ratio of baking soda to water, After you cover the stain completely, let it air dry and then blot again.

Option 2: Use White Vinegar
Mix 1/2 tsp dish liquid and 1/2 tsp white vinegar with 2 cups warm water. after you cover the stain completely, let it air dry and then blot again

Option 3: Use salt
Salt will absorb the wine and lift the color away from the surface.
Sprinkle it all over the wet stain. It might seem an unlikely hero but salt actively draws moisture (and in this case wine) out of the carpet
